Ho ho hola!
Merry Christmas City Farmers!
Farm the City London has had a brrrr-illiant year, and we’d like to invite you to a Christmas get together on Saturday 21st December for tea and cake at Redemption Bar at 4 – 5.30pm (13-15 Golborne Road W10 5NY).
We’ll be celebrating this year and looking forward to the next, so if you’d like to take part in a food growing project in 2014, come along and introduce yourself. There’ll be a short presentation from the founder of Farm the City London at 4.30pm so you can hear more about who we are and what we do.
Going forward, we will decide if Farm the City London is going to become a registered charity, so we can fundraise more easily and do bigger projects. This means we’re looking for people who might be interested in becoming board members. Being a board member means coming to four meetings a year, or more, and offering your support, ideas and/or experience in any of the following areas: community promotion, event organising, HR management/recruitment, financial management, fundraising, the arts, education, council planning, horticulture, law, project management, engineering, architecture. No previous board level experience is necessary just a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the Farm the City London idea. If you would like to know more, please get in touch – firstname.lastname@example.org or call Ros 07734477145.
If we don’t see you on Saturday, we look forward to seeing you in the new year, thank you for your support!
P.S. Do carry on collecting your plastic bottles and help us create a greenhouse out of recycled plastic in the spring, we will literally need thouands of bottles!
