Gleaning Day Saturday 5th October in Essex

Join the gleaning network for an idyllic day on a farm helping to save literally tonnes of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be wasted for charity. Travel expenses are covered for those travelling from London and nearby – just check with Martin first!,

We’re also looking for a driver to transport the produce from the farms to FareShare in London – if you’d be interested in driving a van (normal driving license required) for the day, then please get in touch!

Vertical Veg Club

Here’s a new online course dedicated to growing food in containers. Mark shot to urban farming fame when tired of waiting for a allotment he grew over £900 worth of fresh produce on his north facing balcony and window sills. If you’re not able to join his club you can still receive free newsletter each month with guidance of what you can be doing in the garden at the time

Wild food / World Food forager workshop host Ceri is raising funds for hew new book:

As you may know, after 5 years of Community Foraging and Feasting, I’m about to publish a book of wild food /world food recipes and am crowdfunding to do so.” Check out the video at the link below about the project. The campaign to raise funds is liveuntil October 10th 2013
