Harvest Fest @ Sensory Garden Review

Last week we had our wonderful Harvest Festival and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came. It was a brilliant afternoon with great music from Dear Joy, and Smiley and the Underclass (thank you so much for playing). We made delicious tea and beautiful smelling lavender bags with our friends at Little Artizt, and had an exciting selection of stalls. And of course, at the very heart of our Sensory Garden, we made amazing Pizzas in our very own cob oven! A massive thank you to our friend Linda from Cob in the Community, for keeping the fire going and the pizzas cooking. Where would we be without you?

We saw a lot of new faces from the community and have had an influx of new followers and Tweeters to our pages, which was really excellent news; after all Farm the City is all about our local community. In fact, the Harvest Fest was such a success that we’re going to have an October event, so watch this space for more information soon!

If you’d like to get more involved, please look at our volunteer pages on the website. We’re always

on the lookout for extra hands, plus, what you grow you keep. We never charge for anything we’ve grown. It’s all free! Just pop over to our Sensory Garden, Wednesdays from 1pm; turn up and there will always be a friendly face welcoming you in.

2pm – 5pm 20th of September 2015

Farm the City volunteers would like to invite you to join them for live music, our very own cob oven made pizzas made using veg and herbs grown from the garden. There will be a winter greens plant sale, childrens activities from Little artiz and a chance to review the sensory gardens development and have your say.
